Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam-RussiaFriendship Association is advised to draw more youngsters to engage in itsactivities to sustain and develop the friendly relations between the twocountries.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung made thesuggestion at the fifth congress of the association for the 2016-2021 tenure inHanoi on December 10.

He said the bilateral comprehensive strategicpartnership holds significance in the foreign policy of the Vietnamese Partyand State.

He told the association to diversify activitiesand seek more international partners to increase experience sharing and bridgecooperation between Vietnamese and Russian businesses.

He asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and theVietnamese Embassy in Russia to closely coordinate with the association topromote people-to-people exchanges.

Delegates approved orientations and activitiesfor the 2016-2021 tenure, including the popularisation of Vietnamese Party andState’s policies on internal and external affairs to help Russian people,especially youngsters, understand better about Vietnam as well as the twocountries’ relations.

The executive board in the 2016-2021 tenureincludes 28 members. Vice Chairman of the association in 2011-2016 Tran BinhMinh was elected as new Chairman./.
