Wushu artists win medals at world champs

Vietnamese artists clinched one gold and one bronze medals in the Taolu (Performance) category at the ongoing 12 th World Wushu Championships in Malaysia.

Tran Xuan Hiep topped the men’s Daoshu, in which the participant uses a sword as the main element of the routine.

Meanwhile, the bronze medal of the women’s Changquan (Long Fist) wentto Duong Thuy Vi after she scored 9.67 points, only 0.01 and 0.03 pointslower than the Chinese silver and gold winners, respectively.

The semifinal round of the Sanda (Combat) category will see the participation of six Vietnamese artists.

The week-long tournament will conclude on November 6.-VNA
