Quang Tri (VNA) – The Viet Lao Petrol OilInvestment Joint Stock Company began construction of its dock warehouse in thecentral province of Quang Tri on February 28.
Covering a site of over 16ha in Trieu An commune, TrieuPhong district, the warehouse has a storage capacity of 200,000 cu.m and atotal investment of nearly 470 billion VND (20.4 million USD).
It comprises several facilities such as a depot, a pumpingstation, a petrol import wharf for vessels up to 40,000 tonnes, and a petrolexport wharf for vessels weighing 3,000 tonnes.
During the first stage until 2021, a petrol warehouse with astorage capacity of 60,000 cu.m will be built. More facilities will beconstructed and the storage capacity will increase by 140,000 cu.m in thesecond stage till 2035.
The warehouse will supply petrol to the central province ofQuang Tri and nearby regions, as well as ship petrol to Laos and Thai provincesbordering Laos.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee NguyenQuan Chinh said the province will actively remove difficulties faced by the investorto ensure the project’s progress./.
