Hanoi (VNA) 🏅– Coach Mai Duc Chung has called 26 players to prepare for the coming ASEAN Women’s Football Championship next month in Myanmar.

The squad includes both veteran and young members, in which Hanoi contributed eight players, while HCM City and Ha Nam have sent seven each.
Among them are three players – Nguyen Thi Van (Vietnam Coal and Minerals), Tran Mai Tuyen (Thai Nguyen) and Tran Thi Phuong Thao (HCM City) who will make their debut on the national team. Chung noted that they each had outstanding performances at last month’s first leg of the national championship. He hoped that the new players would bring a renewed mood to the team, who will gather together today and have one month of training in Hanoi.
They will then participate in a practice course abroad for two weeks before departing for Myanmar. The championship is from July 26-August 5. Vietnam has been placed in Group A with defending champions Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore. Group B will hosts Myanmar, U20 Australia, Malaysia and East Timor.-VNA
