⛦– A World Health Organisation (WHO) representativeon May 5 warned that Cambodia remains at high risk of a second waveoutbreak of COVID-19, although the country has achieved a good response to thefirst phase of the epidemic.

At a press conferenceon May 5, WHO Country Representative Li Ailan said the COVID-19 pandemic is far from overglobally, including in Cambodia. She added that WHO iscommitted to continue providing technical advice and optional support to thegovernment, particularly the Ministry of Health, and collaborating withpartners to respond to the pandemic. Meanwhile, CambodianHealth Minister Mam Bun Heng expressed his concern over the next wave of the COVID-19 outbreak that willcome from imported cases into Cambodia. He urged the public tocontinue following the government’s measures such as social and physicaldistancing, not holding mass gathering, and practising good hygiene./.
