En route form the northern port city of Hai Phong , the Phuc Xuan68 ship, with 11 crew members on board, collided with Nam Vy 69, whichwas traveling from Phu My port in southern Vung Tau city to the centralcity of Quy Nhon.
The former sank and its only three crew memberswere rescued by the Nha Trang Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (NhaTrang MRCC) after three hours of floating in the sea.
Search and rescue operation for the eight missing is ongoing in spite of bad weather condition in the area.
