MoIT Deputy Minister Le Duong Quang said that the VietnameseGovernment prioritises finding new energy sources to generate power, asthe sector’s growth is yet to meet the demand of the country’ssocio-economic development.
The seminar offered agood opportunity for Vietnamese agencies to consider and learn frominternational experience in applying waste treatment technology inelectricity development and environmental protection, he added.
The model, once implemented, will contribute largely to raising theefficiency of energy use and protecting the environment.
Vietnam’s power demand is forecast to hit 210 billion kWh by 2015, 360 billion kWh by 2020 and 830 billion kWh by 2030.
