Warning given to deputy chief of Dak Lak province’s Party Committee

The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has decided to give a warning as a disciplinary measure against Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the CPV Central Committee and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee of Dak Lak province.

Hanoi (VNA) –
The Political Bureau ofthe Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has decided to give a warning as adisciplinary measure against Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the CPV CentralCommittee and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee of Dak Lakprovince.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Political Bureau in Hanoi onApril 11-12 under the chair of General Secretary of the CPV Central CommitteeNguyen Phu Trong.

🦹 According to the CPV Central Committee’sInspection Commission, Cuong was found responsible for violations when holdingthe position as Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department ofPolitics-Logistics and Deputy General Director of General Directorate V underthe Ministry of Public Security during the 2009-2012 period.

He signed unlawful documents relating to the general directorate’sHanoi-based Dai Kim housing project. This helped create loopholes which weretaken advantage of by his inferiors to commit fraud and property appropriation,causing serious consequences.

During the meeting, the Political Bureau alsogave opinions on some reports for submission to the upcoming seventh plenary meetingof the 12th Party Central Committee.

♔ The reports focus on building a contingent of cadres, especially thoseat the strategic level with adequate virtues, capabilities and prestige fortheir tasks, reforming social insurance policies and salary reforms forofficials, public servants, officers in the armed forces, and employees inbusinesses.-VNA
