Hanoi (VNA) – Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburomember and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, was elected as Chairman ofthe National Assembly (NA) and the National Election Council (NEC) at the 11th sitting of the 14th legislature on March 31 morning.

On behalf of the NA Standing Committee, NA SecretaryGeneral and Chairman of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc presented a draftresolution on the election of the Chairperson of the NA and the NEC throughsecret ballots.

All of the 473 deputies present at the sitting, or98.54 percent of the total number of NA deputies, cast “yes” ballots,electing Hue to the positions./.
