Vu Viet Trang named as Secretary of VNA’s Party Committee

Hanoi (VNA) – Member of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Vietnam NewsAgency (VNA) and VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang has been named as Secretaryof the agency's Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure.

Member ofthe Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies’ Bloc Huynh Tan Viethanded over Decision No. 452-QĐ/ĐUK of the standing board of the PartyCommittee of the Central Agencies’ Bloc approving the new role to Trang during a conference in Hanoi onNovember 25.

Viet spoke highly of the VNA’s role in the country’s press system and Trang’scontributions to the development of the agency.

Heexpressed his belief that in her role as Secretary of the VNA Party Committee,Trang, together with other VNA leaders will continue pushing the agency forward,maintaining its position as a source of mainstream information, a strategic andtrustworthy information centre of the Party and State, making importantcontributions to the cause of national construction, development and defence.

In herspeech, Trang thanked the standing board of the Party Committee of the CentralAgencies’ Bloc for entrusting her with new role as Secretary of the VNA PartyCommittee, saying that it is her great honour and responsibility.

She vowedto do her best, together with other VNA leaders, to uphold the past achievements ofthe national news agency, build a strong and transparent Party Organisation andimprove its capacity and combative strength.

Shewished to receive further close directions from the Party Committee of theCentral Agencies’ Bloc as well as support of Party members to fulfill herassigned tasks./.🐎
