VN’s ride-hailing app FastGo launched in southern provinces

Ride-hailing app FastGo has officially launched its services in the southern provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Duong, continuing its expansion plan.

HCM City (VNA) - Ride-hailing appFastGo has officially launched its services in the southern provinces of DongNai and Binh Duong, continuing its expansion plan.

FastGo Vietnam’s General Director Nguyen Huu Tuatsaid Dong Nai and Binh Duong are adjacent to the southern largest economic hubof Ho Chi Minh City with high traffic and customers moving between cities.

FastGo is available in all cities to helpcustomers move safely, while reducing the number of empty passenger hubs, hesaid, adding that there are about 1,000 vehicles operating in these twoprovinces.

Launched in June, FastGo is a ride-hailing appdeveloped by a Vietnamese company, and drivers pay 30,000 VND (1.3 USD) to FastGoif they earn more than 400,000 VND per day.

It has also committed to keep faresunchanged during peak periods, while offering regular promotions.

The app has started operations in three bigcities of Hanoi, Da Nang and HCM City with more than 30,000 drivers and overone million kilometres successfully travelled so far.

FastGo received investment from VinaCapital inAugust and is mobilising capital in the second round of up to 50 million USD toexpand its operations to other Southeast Asian countries including Indonesiaand Myanmar.

FastGo plans to introduce services in Ha Longand Nha Trang cities at the beginning of November. Food delivery are plannedfor launch by the end of the year.-VNA
