VNA, Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission promote collaboration

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission signed an agreement on coordination regulations in operations in Hanoi on December 28.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission signed an agreement on coordination regulations in operations in Hanoi on December 28. 

Addressing the signing ceremony, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Do Ngoc An said that the commission is tasked to give advice to the Party Central Committee and its Politburo and Secretariat on leadership orientations and policies regarding economy, supervise the implementation of the policies and verify socio-economic development projects. 

The signing of the agreement between the commission and the VNA, a national news agency providing mainstream information on all spheres of the socio-economic, political life, will lay a foundation for both sides to work more closely and regularly to effectively implement their assigned political missions, he said. 

An asked the commission’s Economic Information, Analysing and Forecasting Centre to work with VNA agencies to enrich its data on domestic and international situations and enhance its communication capacity, thus further spreading the Party’s socio-economic policies to the community through the VNA network. 

For her part, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang said that the signing of the agreement shows both sides’ desire to improve the quality of their performance in giving advice on and popularising orientations, policies and solutions for socio-economic development of the country.

She noted that the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission is working on large-scale and long-term projects, including those on modernisation and industrialisation by 2030 with a vision to 2045 and reviewing 15 years of implementing a resolution on agriculture, farmers and rural areas, which are also among important tasks of the news agency.
 
With its network of representative offices in all 63 localities across the nation and 30 countries in the globe delivering multi-media and multi-platform information, the VNA will help widely popularise the Party and State’s orientations and policies, bringing them into life, while providing information and experience from other countries in socio-economic institution building process to serve as a reference for policy-making agencies, including the commission, she said. 

The VNA leader said she believes the coordination regulations will pave the way for the two agencies to support each other in fulfilling their tasks. 

Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in popularising activities of the commission in orienting the building and completion of major and important socio-economic policies and solutions, along with the guidelines, policies, resolutions, conclusions, detectives and decisions regarding socio-economic fields issued by the Party Central Committee and its Politburo and Secretariat. 

Alongside, the VNA will run news in the commission’s activities inside the country as well as its international cooperation, while providing international experience on socio-economic development and the implementation of new socio-economic models in the world. 

Both sides will also shake hands in honouring collectives and individuals with excellent performance in socio-economic development as well as role models in the field./.
