Fifty years after the South’s liberation and national reunification, generations will forever honour the sacrifices of our people and soldiers. Among those who helped capture that historic victory were the journalist-soldiers of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), who, through their pens and cameras, told the story of a nation’s fierce battles and unbreakable spirit.

An exhibition displaying 45 photographs capturing Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s visit to the liberated zone in southern Vietnam 45 years ago, as well as wider people-to-people relations between Vietnam and Cuba, opened in the central province of Quang Tri on September 14.
