VNA hosts photo exhibition on country’s historical milestones
The Vietnam News Agency in collaboration with Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened a photo exhibition featuring the glorious history, integration and development of the country.

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in collaboration with Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened a photo exhibition featuring the glorious history, integration and development of the country over the past 70 years on August 31.
On display are 20 black-and-white and 70 colour photos, among which are images reflecting the boisterous atmosphere in the historic August 1945 in Hanoi and Hai Phong, the Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, the journey to the triumph of the Dien Bien Phu battle on May 7, 1954 and the Spring Great Victory in 1975. Progress of the country in the cause of national industrialisation and modernisation is also depicted in many photos.
Another thematic exhibition on Hai Phong city’s development was also held on the occasion.
Hai Phong is one of the country’s leading cities in attracting foreign investment and is striving to become a modern port city by 2020.-VNA

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
