An international balloon festival is scheduled to take place from April26 to May 1 in the south central province of Binh Thuan .
The main stage of the festival, the first of its kind in Vietnam, willbe in the skies of Phan Thiet city and Hoa Thang commune in Bac Binhdistrict at the altitude of 150-500m, providing audiences with an openview while ensuring their best vision at the daytime and nigh gloweffect performances at night, said Ngo Minh Chinh, Head of theprovince’s Department of Culture Sports and Tourism.
The festival is expected to attract the participation of 20-30balloons, with the height of 20-25m and diameter of 16-18m, controlledby 50 pilots from countries such as Indonesia , Japan , Germany ,France and Belgium .
The festival is fully funded by the Ho Chi Minh Ciy-based Chien Thang Trading and Services Co. Ltd.
The organisers said once successful, the festival will be held annually in Binh Thuan province’s Phan Thiet city.-VNA
