VN, Laos ink cooperative agreement in museum work

Under the agreement, the two sides willcontinue to work together in upgrading the Kaysone PhomvihaneMuseum as well as in deploying a project to build a memorial sitededicated to President Ho Chi Minh in Khammuoan province in Laos .

The project is expected to be completed by 2012 tocelebrate the 50 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the twocountries (September 5, 1962 – September 5, 2012) and the 30 th year ofthe Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18, 1977 –July 18, 2012).

The agreement also focuses onpreparations for the construction of President Ho Chi Minh memorialsites in Savannakhet province and the capital city of Vientiane ofLaos .

The two sides will also strengthen theexchange of experts, relevant documents and professional experiences inthe field, aiming to further promote the Vietnam-Laos friendshiprelations./.
