VN-China border defence friendship exchange to be held in May

Hanoi (VNA) – The fourth Vietnam-China border defence friendship exchange isscheduled to take place in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau andYunnan province of China in May.
The event will be co-chaired by Vietnamese Defence Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich,Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, and Sen. Lieut. Gen Fan Changlong, Vice Chairman of the Central MilitaryCommission of China.
Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen Nguyen ChiVinh on April 13 visited Lai Chau province to inspect preparations for the event.
He laudedthe province’s preparations, sayingthat the exchange is vital to tighteningdefence ties between the two nations.
He asked relevant agencies and forces to accelerate the work, ensuring theexchange will be a success, contributing to enhancing the traditionalfriendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China-VNA.
The third Vietnam-China Border Defence Friendship Exchange will be held from March 28 to 31 between the northern province of Lang Son and the Chinese southern province of Guangxi.

The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
