Tokyo (VNA) – A seminar washeld in Tokyo on March 28 to attract investments to the northern province ofVinh Phuc, seeing the participation of more than 120 big firms.
Speaking at the event, Secretary ofthe provincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Thuy Lan said with an annual averagegrowth of over 15 percent and its top ranking in the country’s provincialcompetitiveness, Vinh Phuc has become a destination for major investors from numerouscountries worldwide.
As of late February 2016, theprovince lured as many as 234 foreign-invested projects worth 3.6 billion USD from15 countries worldwide. Japan ranked third in the number of projects and totalinvestment in Vietnam but was placed first in terms of capital disbursement.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan NguyenQuoc Cuong highlighted stability, young population and investment incentives asa magnet for foreign investments to Vietnam.
He also mentioned to Vinh Phuc as a major economic zone in the north and agateway to the capital city of Hanoi.
According to Director of the Asia-PacificDivision under the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry YasushiIwata, Vietnam in general and Vinh Phuc in particular is a promisingdestination for Japanese investors.
He expressed thanks to Vinh Phucauthorities for offering business incentives to Japanese enterprises, thuslifting bilateral ties over the past years.
In an interview granted to VietnamNews Agency, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Planning andInvestment Nguyen Duc Tai said the event provides a platform for investors andprovincial authorities to discuss and answer questions, laying a groundwork fortheir investment decisions.-VNA
