VinGroup’s shopping mall operator lists shares on HOSE

Hanoi(VNA) - Vincom Retail (VRE), the shopping mall operator of the real estategiant VinGroup, started trading 1.9 million shares, equivalent to total chartercapital of 19 trillion VND (837 million USD), on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) onNovember 6.

VRE shares closed the first trading session at 40,550 VND (1.79USD) per share, 20 percent higher than its debut price of 33,800 VND.

At that price, the company’s market capitalisation hit 77trillion VND, equal to 3.4 billion USD, making it among the top 10 largestcompanies by market capitalisation in Vietnam.

Vincom Retail operates 41 commercial centres with popularbrands such as Vincom Center, Vincom Mega Mall and Vincom Plaza.

In the first half of this year, the company reported total revenues of 2.73trillion VND, down 26 percent year-on-year, and net profit of 1.1 trillion VND,down 48.5 percent year-on-year.

It expects to achieve gross turnover of 4.6 trillion VND andafter-tax profits of more than 2.1 trillion VND by 2018.-VNA
