VinFast ships record nearly 2,500 EVs to Indonesia in fourth export wave
The latest shipment includes four models, VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, and Nerio Green – all right-hand drive electric vehicles manufactured exclusively for the Indonesian market.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam's first electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast dispatched its largest shipment to Indonesia, with nearly 2,500 units departing from the northern city of Hai Phong on March 8.
This marks the company’s fourth export wave to Indonesia in just one year since officially entering the market.
The latest shipment includes four models, VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, and Nerio Green – all right-hand drive electric vehicles manufactured exclusively for the Indonesian market. They are expected to reach its destination between March 11 and 12. Upon arrival, they will be distributed to dealerships in time for delivery to customers before the Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr) holiday as a meaningful new year gift for Muslim consumers.
Indonesia has emerged as one of VinFast's key markets in Southeast Asia, with impressive growth in a remarkably short timeframe. The VF 3, VF 5 and VF e34 models have garnered positive consumer response.

VinFast has offered distinctive incentives in the market, including free charging at V-Green operated stations until March 1, 2028, cash-back promotions and gifts for early buyers, and a buyback guarantee of up to 90% of the vehicle’s value.
The company’s operations in Indonesia are strongly supported by strategic ecosystem partners like GSM and V-Green. Xanh SM, an electric taxi service using 100% VinFast vehicles, was officially launched in December last year and is rapidly expanding. Meanwhile, global charging infrastructure developer V-Green is accelerating the construction of thousands of charging stations across multiple cities to meet the explosive growth in demand for Vietnamese electric vehicles in Indonesia.
VinFast Global Deputy CEO of Sales Duong Thi Thu Trang said 2025 is a crucial year for VinFast in the market, adding the company is completing the construction of its factory to begin assembling EVs locally. Additionally, with the support of the entire ecosystem and diverse, smart, and modern product range, VinFast aims to achieve a breakthrough in sales in this market this year./.
Under the deal, VASEP and its member enterprises will prioritise using VinFast electric vehicles for transportation and logistics, while VinFast will offer incentives for VASEP’s staff and member businesses to switch from gasoline to electric vehicles.
