MetFone won the Gold Award for Best Marketing Campaign of the Year with its Colour Race 2015 and the Silver Award for Best New Service of the Year with its electronic pocket eMoney product.
This is the first time that a Viettel brand has applied and won in the marketing and information technology product category.
This was also the third international award for MetFone after receiving Frost&Sullivan's Best Service Provider in Emerging Market award in 2010 and the World Communications Awards in 2011.
The Internet for Schools programme helped Bitel win the Silver Award in the category of Social Programmes of the Year in the Americas after two years of operation in Peru.
New operation Lumitel – a leading telecommunication brand name in Burundi – was recognised as the Most Successful New Enterprise of the Year, the first international award for the company.
Lumitel reached 4 million subscribers after four months of operation, 13 percent of Burundi's population, by quickly building a complete, high quality infrastructure in a short time, applying IT in sales management, registering all smartphone users' private information, and setting up distribution network to remote areas.
