Vietnam’s top swimmer Huy Hoang to hold Vietnamese flag at SEA Games 32

Vietnam’s top swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang has been chosen to hold the Vietnamese national flag at the opening ceremony of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) that will take place on May 5 in Cambodia, General Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration, head of Vietnam’s sports delegation to SEA Games 32 Dang Viet Ha said on April 20.

Hanoi (VNA)🔴 – Vietnam’s topswimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang has been chosen to hold the Vietnamese national flag at the opening ceremony of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32)that will take place on May 5 in Cambodia, General Director of the Vietnam SportsAdministration, head of Vietnam’s sports delegation to SEA Games 32 DangViet Ha said on April 20.

Hoang, born in 2000, from the centralprovince of Quang Binh won five gold medals and broke two SEA Games records atthe biggest regional sporting event held last year in Vietnam.

He is one of the country’s leading athletesand is expected to win gold medals in the men’s swimming category at SEA Games 32.

SEA Games 32 will be held in Phnom Penh,Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, and Kep in Cambodia from May 5 to May 17.

ꦫ Vietnam is due to send 1,003 members, including 702 athletes, to the regional Games.

Vietnam will compete in 30 out of 36sports at the Games, aiming for 90-120 gold medals to enter the top three onthe medal tally. As the host of SEA Games 31, Vietnam topped themedal table with 205 golds. Thailand came second with 92 and Indonesia thirdwith 69./.
