Vietnam’s most modern high school opens in Bac Ninh

Bac Ninh (VNA) – The Bac Ninh High School for Gifted Students, the most modern in Vietnam, was inaugurated in Bac Ninh city, the same name province, on August 22 to welcome 1,200 students in the new academ꧋ic year.

The school is built at a cost of nearly 600 billion VND (26.9 million USD) to international standards. Covering 3.9 hectares, it comprises a 9-storey main building, a 3-storey hall with 500 seats, a 5-storey building for classrooms and a library, a 12-storey dormitory, and over 3,000-square-metre sporting hall.
The school applies a specialised education model, aiming to develop students’ talents in particular fields, while still ensuring an overall curriculum.
Ahead of the 2016-2017 academic year, which will officially start on September 5, northern Bac Ninh province has also upgraded nearly 650 classrooms of schools at all levels to become the leading locality nationwide in the ratio of steady classrooms. Currently, 89 percent of the local schools meet national standards, the highest rate nationwide.-VNA
