The 57th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM-57) and related meetings have left many marks of a connected and resilient ASEAN, said Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hung Viet, who led the Vietnamese delegation to the event in Vientiane, Laos.

In the 28 years since Vietnam joined the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Organisation (AIPO), the predecessor of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) (September 1995 - 2023), the National Assembly has proposed many initiatives and actively contributed to improving the efficiency of regional inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The 42nd General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-42) wrapped up on August 25 after three days of sitting via videoconference.
