Vietnamese youths in Japan help tsunami victims

The Vietnam Youth and Students Association (VYSA) in Japan has donated 500,000 JPY (6,000 USD) to victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in north-eastern Japan.
The Vietnam Youth and Students Association (VYSA) in Japan has donated500,000 JPY (6,000 USD) to victims of the recent earthquake and tsunamiin north-eastern Japan.

The money, which was sent to the NHKRadio and Television Station in Tokyo on March 25, aims to helpJapanese victims as well as Vietnamese students who are suffering fromthe results of the disasters, VYSA President Nguyen Ngoc Tu said.

Underits fund raising programme, the association had by March 24 received531,000 JPY from Vietnamese youth and students in Japan as well as 50million VND (2,400 USD) from the Vietnamese Students’ Association.

Theassociation has already spent more than 100,000 JPY to help Vietnamesestudents and trainees who evacuated from dangerous areas to Tokyo andOsaka. /.
