Vietnamese, Turkmen foreign ministries hold political consultation
The Foreign Ministries of Vietnam and Turkmenistan need to continue bringing into full play their positive role and maintaining consultations and regular exchanges to help step up the two countries’ ties.

Hanoi (VNA)– The Foreign Ministries of Vietnam and Turkmenistan need to continue bringinginto full play their positive role and maintaining consultations and regularexchanges to help step up the two countries’ ties.
The view was shared byDeputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and his Turkmen counterpart Vepa Hajiev atthe political consultation between the two foreign ministries in Hanoi on April2.
The officials weredelighted that the traditional friendship and cooperation between the twocountries have enjoyed positive developments and agreed that the two countriesshould continue with exchanges at all levels, high-level visits, and contactsbetween ministries, sectors and businesses.
The two countries alsoneed to sign documents and agreements to provide a complete legal foundationfor their cooperation, while tapping on their potential for cooperation ineconomy-trade, education-training, culture, sports and tourism, the officialssaid.
They exchanged viewson international and regional issues of mutual concern and shared the view ofrespecting fundamental principles of international law and the United NationsCharter. They affirmed continuous coordination and mutual support atinternational forums, especially at the United Nations.-VNA

The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
