Kuala Lumpur (VNA) –A tourism promotion event was held in Kuala Lumpur on December 7 by the VietnamNational Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in collaboration with Vietnam’sEmbassy in Malaysia.
The event, themed “VietnamTourism Roadshow”, involved the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Agency, the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents,airlines and representatives of more than 100 travel companies from the twocountries.
Speaking at the event, Ha Van Sieu, deputyhead of the VNAT, said in 2015, about 230,000 Malaysian tourists visitedVietnam, with Malaysia ranking first in ASEAN and seventh in the world in thenumber of tourists to Vietnam.
The event not only introduces Vietnam’stourism but also aims to help firms better understand the tastes of Malaysiantourists.

A programme to promote Vietnam’s tourism in China took place in the country’s Liaoning province – its last stop, drawing hundreds of travel and media agencies on November 23.
