Vietnamese Supreme People’s Court delegation visits Mongolia

Vietnam and Mongolia signed a memorandum of understanding on judicial cooperation, covering the sharing of expertise and information on court organisation and activities, judicial reform, the application of information technology, and capacity building for judicial personnel.

Ulaanbaatar (VNA) – A high-level delegation from the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam led by its Chief Justice Le Minh Tri is on a working visit to Mongolia from June 8 to 11 at the invitation of Ganzorig Damdin, Chief Justice of the country’s Supreme Court.

During the trip, the delegation held talks with the Mongolian Chief Justice, and visited the supreme prosecutor’s office and the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia.

At the talks, the two chief justices agreed to strengthen professional cooperation, with a particular focus on sharing experience in court organisation and operations, training judges, applying artificial intelligence in judicial proceedings, and developing electronic courts.

Additionally, Tri proposed that the Supreme Court of Mongolia cooperate with relevant agencies to enhance legal education and awareness for the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in the country.

Following the talks, the two officials signed a memorandum of understanding on judicial cooperation. The pact covers the sharing of expertise and information on court organisation and activities, judicial reform, the application of information technology, and capacity building for judicial personnel.

ꦓ Meanwhile, at the supreme prosecutor’s office, Tri and Prosecutor General of Mongolia Jargalsaikhan Banzragch exchanged views on coordinating efforts in crime prevention and raising legal awareness among the Vietnamese community in Mongolia./.
