Moscow (VNA) ﷽– The 2025 international youth friendship table tennis tournament took place on April 26 in Moscow, Russia, attracting over 100 athletes from 12 teams of eight countries.

For the first time, a team of Vietnamese students participated, leaving a strong impression with their skills, spirit, and unity. The team, comprising eight students from various universities in Moscow, represented the dynamism and international integration of Vietnamese youth. The Vietnamese team performed outstandingly, securing third place overall, behind Russia and China.
Organised by the Russian Table Tennis Federation and the International Friendship Association, the tournament marked the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and celebrated World Table Tennis Day. It provided a platform for young athletes to strengthen international friendship through sports.
Organisers praised the Vietnamese team’s competition spirit and skills, highlighting their contribution to promoting Vietnam's youthful, friendly, and responsible image internationally. The event further affirmed the confidence, resilience, and integration capabilities of Vietnamese students on the global stage./.

ജ Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
