Vietnamese shooter brings home world bronze medal

Vietnam’s top marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh had a successful day on May 15 and bagged a bronze medal in men’s 50m pistol event at the underway ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup in Fort Benning, US.
Vietnam’s top marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh had a successful day on May 15and bagged a bronze medal in men’s 50m pistol event at the underway ISSFRifle and Pistol World Cup in Fort Benning, US.

Vinh wascompeting with 67 top world shooters at the event. He is the only oneamong the three Vietnamese shooters to enter the final round.

In the final round, Vinh was unable to defeat his two rivals, one ofwhom triumphed at the World Cup 2014 and the other won gold medal in 10mslow-fire pistol event at the earlier World Cup in April this year inthe Republic of Korea.

After finishing theircompetition at the World Cup in the US on May 19, the Vietnameseshooters team will leave for Singapore for the 28th SEA Games.-VNA
