Vientiane(VNA) - Politburo member and permanent member of theSecretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Tran Quoc Vuongand a Vietnamese delegation visited Vientiane province of Laos on November 10.This came within the framework of their visit to the neighbouring country.
Welcoming the Vietnamese officials,Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Vientiane Vidong Sayasonebriefed the guests on the socio-economic development and Party building in theprovince as well as cooperation with Vietnamese localities.
He affirmed that Vientiane will always workhard to contribute to reinforcing the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperationbetween the two countries.
For his part, Vuong expressed his delightto visit Vientiane, a locality which has rich revolutionary tradition andstrategic location as a connection point between Vientiane capital city andnorthern and central provinces of Laos.
He congratulated the Party organisation, administrationand locals of Vientiane on their important achievements gained in various areasover the past years.
Vuong expressed his belief that under theleadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the Party committee, administrationand locals of Vientiane will successfully complete all targets set in theresolution released at the LPRP’s 10th Congress and the fifth provincialParty committee’s congress, making Vientiane more prosperous.
He lauded the outcomesof cooperation and mutual support between Vientiane and Vietnamese localities,and expressed his hope that Vientiane province will continue expandingpartnership with Vietnam’s Hai Phong city, Hai Duong, Yen Bai and Nghe Anprovinces as well as other localities, especially in defence-security,education-training, Party building, local economic management, trade, tourism,agriculture, new-style rural building, and poverty reduction.-VNA
