Vietnamese mission to UN extends New Year greetings to Laos, Cambodia
The Vietnamese mission to the UN will further its close coordination with the Lao counterpart and support Laos’ memberships within the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the UNICEF Executive Board this year.

New York (VNA) – On the occasion of the traditional “Bun Pi May” of Laos and “Choul Chnam Thmey” of Cambodia, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, head of Vietnam's permanent mission to the United Nations (UN), has led a delegation of Vietnamese representatives in New York to extend New Year wishes to the two countries’ permanent missions.
During his visit to the Lao mission, Giang congratulated Laos on its significant achievements over the past year under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and expressed confidence that the nation would make greater progress across all sectors and further elevate its standing and role on the international stage, especially at the UN.
The diplomat stated that the Vietnamese mission will further its close coordination with the Lao counterpart and support Laos’ memberships within the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the UNICEF Executive Board this year.
Ambassador Anouparb Vongnorkeo, Lao Permanent Representative to the UN, praised the close cooperation, trust, and mutual support between the two missions, reflecting the spirit of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Visiting the Cambodian mission, Giang expressed his hope that Vietnam and Cambodia will further strengthen their collaboration at multilateral forums, particularly through their missions to the UN.
