Vietnam’s chess grandmaster inဣspires Webster University
Vietnamese grandmaster Le Quang Liem has played a key role in helping Webster University win the President's Cup in New York, the United States.
Vietnamese International Master Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son won the Asian Continental Rapid Chess Championship's Open group in the United Arab Emirates on August 11.
Son took the title with six points after seven matches.
India's Sanpidan Chanda and Debashis Das tied for runners-up with 5.5 points.
Son's teammate Le Quang Liem came in fifth with 5.5 points due to a different auxiliary index.
On the women's side, China's Tan Zhongyi won with six points. Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Mai Hung ranked ninth with 4.5 points.-VNA
