Vietnamese market in Laos on fire

Vientiane (VNA) - A big fire occurred at a sectiꦗon🌌 in the Pakse Dao Huong market, a Vietnamese trade centre in Pakse in the Lao province of Champasak, on early May 17.

According to the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse, the fire broke out at 1am off May 17 in western part of the market. Local authorities mobilised firefighting forces to the scene to put out the blaze.
There are no official reports about casualties and property damage yet at the destroyed section where 90 percent of traders are Vietnamese.
Goods stocked at the area included textiles, dried products and jewellries. Constructed in 1999 at a cost of 5 million USD, the market with 700 stalls opened in 2001.-VNA
