Vientiane (VNA) – The sixth theoreticalworkshop between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Lao People’sRevolutionary Party (LPRP) opened in Vientiane on July 24.
The event will help realise the agreement bothparties made to increase cooperation programmes on theoretical research andpractical revision.
Speaking at the opening, Vo Van Thuong - Politburomember, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, and head of the CPV CentralCommittee’s Commission for Information and Education – said the workshop issignificant in terms of both theory and practice.

The CPV always defines ideological andtheoretical work as one of its most important activities to implement politicaltasks during each period of reform, he said.
Party building activities are a crucial factorto creating unity and solidarity; enhancing leadership; preventing corruption,wastefulness, ideological and moral degradation, and manifestations of self-evolutionand self-transformation; as well as contributing to the development of astrong, transparent Party, he stressed.
He suggested the two sides promote experiencesharing and exchanges in the field for successful renewal implementation ineach country.

He underlined the LPRP’s perceptions onpromoting ideological and theoretical work, which is considered an urgent andstrategic task of the two Parties.
The official also shared the Lao experience intheoretical and practical research, and proposed the two Parties and Statesstrengthen cooperation and information exchanges in the field.-VNA
