Vietnamese in Australia support fishermen in home country

The Vietnamese community in Australia has donated 3,600 AUD in support of fishermen back in their home country at a charity night in Sydney on November 11.

The donation has been delivered to the club “Forthe beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa” set up by the Vu A Dinh ScholarshipFund.

Addressing the event, former Vice President Truong MyHoa, who is also Chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, praisedthe Vietnamese community in Australia for their valuable support for thehomeland.

She also informed that the Vu A Dinh ScholarshipFund has built two primary schools in Truong Sa island district withmoney raised by the “For the beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa” club.

Participants at the charity night suggested organising more fundraising activities such as cultural exchanges or art performances.-VNA
