Vietnamese grandmaster Le Quang Liem had the honour to represent Vietnamese students by carrying the country’s flag at Webster University’s graduation ceremony in the US last weekend.
Vietnamese chess player Le Quang Liem secured a major win at the Danzhou Super Grandmaster Tournament in China after defeating world rapid chess champion Vassily Ivanchuk from Ukraine on July 16.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
