Vietnamese goods week opens in Thailand

A week of Vietnamese goods kicked off in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 7 with the participation of 35 Vietnamese and Thai businesses operating in processing, garment-textile, household utensils and food.

– A week of Vietnamesegoods kicked off in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 7 with the participation of35 Vietnamese and Thai businesses operating in processing, garment-textile,household utensils and food.

The four-day event was jointly held by the HoChi Minh City’s Department of Industry and Trade and Thailand’s BJC retailgroup.

It is one of the trade promotion activities ofHCM City to help Vietnamese businesses to promote products and brands inThailand as well as seek potential international partners and expand markets.

Addressing the opening ceremony, VietnameseAmbassador to Thailand Nguyen Hai Bang said the event created an opportunityfor Vietnamese firms to promote their goods in Thailand. 

It also enabled Thai customers to experiencehigh-quality products from Vietnam, he added.

He affirmed that the embassy is willing toconnect businesses of the two countries in promoting trade and investment, andestablishing partnership.

This is the second time a promotion event forVietnamese goods has been held in Bangkok this year. Earlier, the Vietnamesegoods programme in Thailand took place at the Central World shopping complex onSeptember 18-22 with the participation of nearly 50 Vietnamese companies./.
