Vietnamese businesses are joining global counterparts at the 32nd Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) that kicked off at Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Bumi Serpong Damai city, Greater Jakarta, on October 11.
Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamesebusinesses are joining global counterparts at the 32nd Trade Expo Indonesia(TEI) that kicked off at Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Bumi Serpong Damaicity, Greater Jakarta, on October 11.
The event, themed “Global Partner forSustainable Resources”, attracted 4,500 businesspersons from 79 countries andterritories, including 21 entrepreneurs from 13 companies of Vietnam.
The Vietnamese firms’ participation looks toseek Indonesian business partners specialising in food, confectionary,beverage, farm produce, wood products and industrial machinery.
During the expo, the Indonesian Embassy in Hanoicoordinated with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a meetingwith many Indonesian companies which wish to invest and do business in Vietnam.
The meeting focused on business challenges andopportunities in the two countries, procedures and mechanisms for investment,import and export, and procedures for food certification under Islamic Halalregulations.
The 32nd TEI is hoped to help raise transactionrevenue between Indonesian and Vietnamese businesses which stood at 3.77million USD in 2016.-VNA
