Hanoi (VNA) – Intensifying information connectivity, increasingproduct quality, developing a system of sales agents and distributors in Polandare necessary factors for Vietnamese enterprises who want to bring theirproducts to the Polish market.

With a population ofover 38 million and average per capita income of 24,000 USD a year, Poland isconsidered the largest market in Eastern Europe, and one of Vietnam’s leading tradepartners.

Last year, two-waytrade surpassed 1 billion USD and the figure is forecast to continue risingthis year.

Vietnam’s exportturnover to the Eastern European country enjoys an average growth rate ofaround 27 percent during 2010-2017, hitting 775 million USD last year, or ayear-on-year rise of 29.8 percent.

Vietnam mainly exportselectronics and equipment, footwear, textiles and agricultural goods such ascoffee, pepper, coconut and cashew to Poland.

However, Polandimports a great deal of rice, fruit and oil products from other countries butvery little from Vietnam, which is highly capable of supplying these products, according to Piotr Harasimowicz, chief representative officer of the PolishInvestment and Trade Agency in Ho Chi Minh City.

Therefore, hesuggested the two countries’ enterprises intensify information connectivity tounderstand more about each other’s market.

A representative fromthe Vietnam Food Industries Joint Stock Company (VIFON), which succeeds inexporting instant noodle to Poland with 29.26 percent of the market share, saidthat the success is attributed to the company’s good product quality (no syntheticcolours and artificial preservatives) as well as attractive and diversepackaging.-VNA
