New Delhi (VNA)🔴 – A corner dedicated to Vietnamese dolls was opened at the Shankar International Dolls Museum in India on October 21.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh, said the space will feature 99 Vietnamese dolls, in different categories, including those wearing traditional long-dresses, ethnic dresses, wedding dresses, and water puppets, which vividly depict the rich culture and identity of Vietnam.
The Vietnam’s Doll Corner is expected to give Indian people as well as international friends an insight of Vietnam as well as its people, Thanh said, adding that it will contribute to fostering the cultural ties between the two nations.
A representative from the Shankar Museum said the corner will help bring children from the two nations closer together, thus opening up learning opportunities for them. Shankar International Dolls Museum was established on November 30, 1965. It has the world’s biggest collection, with nearly 7,000 dolls from 85 nations.-VNA
