Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Vietnam – Malaysia BusinessAssociation (VMBIZ) hosted an exhibition promoting Vietnamese culture, arts anddestinations within the framework of a celebration of Malaysia – Japan diplomaticrelations on September 10 – 11.
It also formed part of a series of events to mark the 40th anniversary of the Look East Policy (LEP) initiated by Malaysia in 1982.
The event saw the attendance of a number of cultural and tourismexperts from Malaysia, Japan and regional countries.
The Vietnam display consisted of three zones, one for “ao dai”(Vietnamese traditional gown), one for popular touristdestinations across Vietnam and products of national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines,and the third for Vietnamese specialties such as tea, coffee and Moon cakes.
An ao dai fashion show was also organised, attracting greatattention of visitors.
VMBIZ Vice President Nguyen Thi Thanh Van said the celebrationevent is a good opportunity for Vietnam to popularise its culture, arts anddestinations among people from regional countries. It also provides lessons forthe preparation of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of theVietnam – Malaysia diplomatic ties next year, she said./.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
