Geneva (VNA)✱ – The Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to the UnitedNations (UN), the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and other international organisationshas participated in a food festival in GrandSaconnex in Geneva city of Switzerland.

The annual international event aimed to introduce to local peopletraditional dishes of countries around the world, attracting the attention oflocals and foreign visitors. On the occasion, Ambassador Mai Phan Dung briefed on major tasks of the Vietnamese delegation in Geneva,affirming the delegation's wish to contribute positively to the development of Grand Saconnex. Dung said the event was a greatopportunity for the Vietnamese delegation to promote images of the Southeast Asian country and its people and culture to people in Geneva with the hope that more international friends will visit Vietnam to explore andenjoy more delicious foods. A photo exhibition on cultural activities of ethnic groups in Vietnamwas also arranged at the event./.

💯 Vietnamese culture takes centre stage in Korean city

🌱 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.
