Vietnamese cuisine introduced in Berlin

Berlin (VNA) – “Van nghe thang Muoi” (October art) clubin Berlin held an event on May 29 to introduce the Vietnamese culinary cultureto international friends.

Participants at the event were excited to enjoy traditionaldishes of Vietnam such as nem (spring roll), pho (noodle), xoi gac (red stickyrice), bun cha (grilled meat with rice noodle), and banh cuon (steamed ricepancakes).

Addressing the event, Vice President of the club Ta Kim Liensaid that through the event, the club aims to promote Vietnamese culture inGermany, along with its efforts in popularising Vietnamese arts in the Europeancountry.
 
Meanwhile, Nguyen Minh Hanh, the wife of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany,underlined the meaning of the event to the Vietnamese community in Germany.

She underlined that culinary culture is a pride of Vietnamall over the world. In Germany and Berlin in particular, traditional food ofVietnam has been popular and present in many districts across the capital cityof Germany, she said.

Hanh added that the event is not only an important culturaldiplomacy activity, but a chance to strengthen mutual friendship and exchangebetween Vietnamese people and foreign friends in Germany and the world ingeneral./.

⛦ Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
