The forum brought together representatives from 19 Vietnamese provinces and cities; four southern Lao provinces – Champasak, Sekong, Salavan, and Attapeu; Thailand’s Ubon Ratchathani province; and businesses from the three countries.

As many as 26 delegations came to the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse district in the Lao province of Champasak on September 26 to pay tribute to and write in the funeral book over the passing of President Tran Dai Quang.

No Vietnamese has been reported missing as of July 26, while 15 Vietnamese families living in the areas affected by floods triggered by the collapse of the Sepien-Senamnoi hydropower dam in Laos have been evacuated to safe places, local officials said.
