PhuYen (VNA) - The Vietnamese co🦩mmunity in the US has presented 300million VND (nearly 13,000 USD) in cash an🐠d more than 108,370 waterpurification packets to flood victims in the south-central coastal province ofPhu Yen, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Vietnameserepresentative offices and communities abroad have offered aid relief in cashand kind to help residents in the country’s central region overcome the consequencesof natural calamities. Receivingthe aid, President of the Red Cross Society of Phu Yen Huynh Tan Tinh vowed topromptly distribute it to people in need. Theprovince was thrown into disarray this year by drought, forest fires, storms, andfloods. It lost more than 550 billion VND to severe flooding caused by Molaveand Etau - the ninth and 12th storms hitting the East Sea this year./.
