A freshly-ended popular culture festival called “Song o Berlin (Living in Berlin)” has taken Dong Xuan - the largest Vietnamese shopping centre in Berlin - by storm, attracting over 10,000 participants and vividly depicting the integration and coexistence of different cultures.

The Vietnamese community in Germany are delighted at the coming state visit to Vietnam by President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, said Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thinh, head of the research group at TU Dortmund University and Standing Vice Chairman of the federation of Vietnamese people associations in the European nation.

Nearly 140 women representing Vietnamese women’s groups in 16 states of Germany attended a founding congress of the Vietnamese Women's Union in Germany on October 1.

Huong Viet, an online magazine of Vietnamese people in Germany, and the local Vietnamese community introduced the homeland’s culture to German and international visitors at the summer festival Sommerfest in the state of Bayern on July 22.

Governing Mayor of Berlin Michael Müller lauded the Vietnamese community’s charitable activities in Germany while receiving 10,000 face masks and 10,000 pairs of gloves from Sen Vang (Golden Lotus) charity organisation on May 25.

President Truong Tan Sang and his entourage arrived in Berlin at 6 pm (Vietnamese time) on November 24, beginning his three-day State visit to Germany.
