Vietnamese athletes shine at IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang 2025

Da Nang (VNA) - The IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang 2025 triathlon concluded its main event on May 11, with over 2,200 local and international athletes competing in swimming (1.9km), cycling (90km), and running (21.1km) along Da Nang’s scenic coastline.

Thailand’s Kenshin Mizushima claimed first place in the men’s category, followed by the UK’s Christopher Mascarenhas Keyes and Kuwait’s Abdullah Alrefae.

In the women’s race, Ireland’s Michelle Nagle topped the podium, while Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong and Nguyen Thi Tra My secured second and third, respectively.

The competition drew over 3,500 participants from more than 70 countries and territories.

The event, organised by Sunrise Events Vietnam with support from the Da Nang People’s Committee, also marked the 10th anniversary of IRONMAN’s presence in Vietnam and set a record as the largest IRONMAN 70.3 race ever held in Southeast Asia.
