Vietnamese ambassador to Russia honoured for devotion to bilateral ties

Outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh was honoured with Russia’s Order of Friendship on April 6 for his enormous contributions to the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Moscow (VNA) – Outgoing VietnameseAmbassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh was honoured with Russia’s Order ofFriendship on April 6 for his enormous contributions to the comprehensivestrategic partnership between the two countries.

The order was bestowed under Decree No. 182,dated March 29, of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

At the presentation ceremony in Moscow, DeputyMinister of Foreign Affairs Igor Morgulov highly valued the outcomes obtainedduring the Vietnamese diplomat’s term, including such special highlights asincreased mutual visits at all levels, sustained multifaceted cooperationdespite the COVID-19 pandemic, and positive figures in bilateral trade andeconomic ties in 2020.

Manh thanked Russian state agencies,organisations, partners, and friends for their support and assistance, whichhave helped him fulfill the duties assigned by the Vietnamese Party and State.

At the event, the officials also touched uponmeasures to further develop the Vietnam – Russia comprehensive strategicpartnership.

The same day, Manh came to bid farewell toleaders the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) faction in the StateDuma.

The ambassador informed his hosts aboutVietnam’s situation since the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party ofVietnam (CPV). He also thanked KPRF, especially its leaders, for trusting andstaying ready to assist him to fulfill his tasks, thus contributing to thetraditional friendship and effective ties between the two Parties and the twocountries.

Chairman of the KPRF Central Committee GennadyZyuganov congratulated Manh on excellently fulfilling his duties. He affirmedthat the KPRF consistently attaches importance to, stands side by side with,and trusts and supports the CPV in any circumstances.

At the meeting, Zyuganov presented Manh with theOrder of Lenin, a noble reward from KPRF for persons with significantdedications to the party’s activities and its solidarity and friendship withinternational friends.

The diplomat also presented KPRF leaders withhis recently released book that looks back on the 70 years of Vietnam – Russiarelations./.
