Young Vietnamese table tennis players have qualified for the next month’s continental tournament thanks to their outstanding performances at the ongoing Southeast Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship in Malaysia, according to Department of Physical Training and Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Four best table tennis players of Vietnam will seek their Olympic slots at the Southeast Asia Regional Qualification from May 8-10 in Bangkok, Thailand.
It is the first time that the country is to hold a G1-level tournament which is expected to lure more than 100 athletes of 15 countries and regions at Go Vap Gymnasium.
